Spring hair regeneration

Is your hair ready for spring?>

It can be said that winter is already behind us. Phew… Everyone is longingly awaiting warm spring days. After difficult winter weather conditions, our hair requires strong regeneration. Proper care may be key to restoring shine, softness and beautiful appearance to the strands.

Oil SOS

In winter, the sebaceous glands on our heads work slower, and as a result, the hair does not develop a thick enough protective layer. This can cause it to become brittle, dry, and susceptible to damage. Some people also struggle with hair loss.

To regenerate hair after winter, it is worth providing them with proper nourishing care, and oils are best for this. Oiling is a treatment that can work wonders on our strands, even those that are very damaged after winter. In addition to regeneration, oiling also provides protection against mechanical damage to the hair, and also gives it shine.

If you haven't tried this treatment yet, it's high time to change that! The results will surprise you after the first time. Your locks will become looser, softer, visibly smoother and heavier. You can do the oiling treatment yourself at home. It's important to choose the right oil for your hair needs and stick to a few rules!

Dry or wet?

Oiling your hair is a hair care practice that brings many benefits. There are two ways to apply oil to your hair – dry and wet. Regardless of the method you choose, start by combing your hair thoroughly.

Dry oiling is the fastest way to do this type of care. Simply warm up the right amount of oil in your hands and spread it on your hair. Depending on your preferences, you can spread the oil on half (from the ear down) or the entire length of the strands, as well as on the scalp, if it also needs nourishment. To use the right amount of oil for the treatment, you need to make sure that your hair is visibly covered with it, but at the same time that the product does not drip from it. After applying the oil, comb your hair with a brush or comb - this will allow for precise distribution of the product on your strands.

Wet oiling is exactly the same procedure, preceded only by completely wetting or moistening the hair with water or hydrolate. Regardless of the chosen application method, to achieve the effect, tie your hair into a comfortable bun and leave the oil on your hair for about 1 hour. If you can afford it, leave the oil on your hair even overnight.

When choosing the right product, it is worth paying attention to its composition and always reading the manufacturer's label. Recently, Ayurvedic products containing Indian herbs and extracts have been increasingly popular. One of the manufacturers of this type of care cosmetics is the Sattva Ayurveda company. Its offer includes a whole range of natural hair oils. One of them is Maha Bhringraj hair oil. It contains a mixture of 3 oils and Bhringraj extract, which prevents hair loss, balding and graying. Among them you will find:

- Sesame oil with a deeply moisturizing and regenerating effect on hair. It will also protect your strands from the harmful effects of sunlight.

- Castor oil to prevent hair loss.

- Neem oil supporting the proper pH level of the scalp and its nourishment.

Regular use of this oil prevents excessive hair loss and premature graying. For best results, oiling treatments should be performed twice a week.

Shampoo or maybe conditioner?

When the stage of applying the oil is behind us, it is time to think about washing it off. For this purpose, you can of course use a cleansing shampoo. However, a good method of getting rid of the greasy substance from the hair is also the emulsification technique. It consists of applying a portion of conditioner to the hair covered with a layer of oil. Thanks to this procedure, the oil will be thoroughly separated from the hair structure, which will remain well-nourished and moisturized. Emulsifying the oil with conditioner before the actual washing of the hair is a great alternative to washing off the grease using the traditional method using only shampoo.

Once the oil has been on your hair long enough, rinse it off gently with warm water. You can skip this step if your hair is very dry and damaged and immediately spread a generous portion of conditioner on your head and hair. Leave it for a few to a dozen minutes. After this time, rinse your hair thoroughly and wash it with a gentle shampoo. You can also skip the shampoo step if you want turbo nourishment and your strands are not prone to getting greasy.

A product that works great for emulsifying oil is the Jasmine and Aloe Conditioner from Sattva. It is suitable for all hair types. Thanks to the combination of jasmine, aloe and delicate Indian herbs, it perfectly cleanses the scalp and naturally nourishes the hair.

At the end of the whole beauty ritual for your hair, don't forget about the hair lotion. This is your must-have if you want to enjoy beautiful strands and a storm of baby hair. For deeper nourishment and hydration of the hair and scalp, the Ajwain & Gotukola hair lotion is a good choice. This is a product based on aloe, ajwain, centella asiatica, Ayurvedic herbs, pepper extract and neem.

By regularly applying oiling treatments, we take care of both the moisture of our strands and scalp. This helps in the growth and maintenance of healthy hair and improves its density, and also prevents dandruff by restoring the scalp microbiome. It is an ideal, simple way to improve the condition of hair and scalp after winter.
