Can you henna gray hair?
Before we answer that question, we want to assure you of one thing. Whether you’re just starting to see your first gray hairs or you already have most of your head covered in silver, you have a few options to look beautiful and feel good when you look in the mirror.
If you want to slow down the process of graying hair, especially premature graying, it is worth taking care of yourself holistically, on many levels. Many factors affect how long we will enjoy our natural hair color, genes certainly have an impact here, but proper care, diet and taking care of your mental and emotional well-being are not without significance. Both a sudden difficult situation and long-term stress can accelerate unfavorable changes.
This article, however, will focus on the beauty and visual aspect.
Look in the mirror and think about which of the following situations applies to you and what effect you want to achieve.
Situation 1. The first grey hairs appear on my head.
Apply the selected plant dye. Follow the instructions from the SATTVA color palette to check which color will be good for you. Decide what shade you will feel good in. Then do a color test on a small strand of hair - to be sure what the final effect will look like. With single gray hairs, you can do such coloring with either pure henna (e.g. SATTVA RED) or a mixture of coloring herbs.
Probably after the first colouring (do it according to the instructions on the packaging) your grey hair will no longer be visible.
Situation 2. I already have quite a few grey hairs and they are very visible against my dark hair. I want to colour them dark brown, red or black.
In this situation, it will be necessary to perform a two-step colouring, as a single application of the colouring mixture will not give a satisfactory result.

Situation 3. I already have quite a few grey hairs, but I like them. I want to take care of them and even out the grey.
In this situation you can try the colors Sattva Ash Blond or Dark Ash Blond and your hair will look healthy and well-groomed.
Regardless of the solution you choose, we always recommend performing an allergy test on the skin and a colour test on an inconspicuous strand of hair.
Immediately after herbal colouring, the hair may be slightly dry, it is worth giving it a good dose of moisture in the following days, including appropriate conditioners, e.g. Sattva and oils (Sattva Mahabhringraj, Sattva Brahmi Amla, Sattva Vitalising).
