Most black seed oils on the market take one path or the other: either a refined, milder taste intended for the kitchen, or heavy processing for skin and hair care. Either way, some of the active ingredients are lost along the way.

We cold-press our oil without refining it. This process preserves the full nutritional value of black cumin seeds — the unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins and minerals remain intact. The side effect of raw pressing is an intense, spicy flavor and a dark green color — not a flaw, but proof that the oil hasn’t gone through processes that strip it of its value.

In the kitchen

1 teaspoon a day. Add it cold — to salads, sauces, spreads or marinades. Do not heat it — high temperatures destroy the active ingredients of cold-pressed oil.

For skin

Massage a few drops of oil into the cleansed skin of your face or body. You can dab it onto dry or irritated areas, or add it to your cream.

For hair

Rub a small amount of oil into your scalp and along the lengths of your hair at least an hour before washing, as a pre-shampoo treatment. You can also apply a small amount to the ends as a serum after styling.
