What’s at work in the formula

Murumuru butter is an Amazonian butter the curly community has fallen in love with: it smooths the strand and adds slip before you even reach for conditioner. Coconut oil, olive oil and argan oil soften your hair as you wash. Guar and Polyquaternium-10 make finger detangling easier — less tangling, less breakage.

1. Wet your hair and scalp thoroughly.
2. Apply a small amount of shampoo to your scalp and lengths.
3. Massage your scalp with your fingertips to work up a lather — don't rub the lengths, just squeeze them gently.
4. Leave the lather on for a few minutes so the murumuru butter and oils have time to work.
5. Rinse.
If your scalp is very oily or you've just oiled your hair, wash again.
6. Then move on to conditioner or a mask.
