Copper vessels – choose your way to prepare copper water
Ayurveda has kept water in copper for thousands of years, long before anyone called it a trend. The mechanism is simple: when copper comes into contact with water, it releases ions that pass into the liquid. The longer a copper vessel is in contact with the water, the more copper ends up in your glass. The question isn’t “whether” but “in which vessel” – because a copper bottle, mug and jug each serve a different purpose.
99.9% copper – no compromises
Our copper vessels are made by hand from certified 99.94% pure copper in a family-run workshop in India. This matters, because plenty of vessels on the market contain heavy-metal admixtures with no confirmation of their composition whatsoever – and then the whole idea of drinking copper water loses its point. You can check the certificate for every product.
Bottle, mug or jug – which one to choose?
Copper bottles and flasks – you take them with you: to work, to the gym, on your travels. Tight seal, capacities of 650 ml and 950 ml.
Copper mugs with lids – they stay by your bed, capacity approx. 350 ml. You fill one in the evening and drink the water on an empty stomach in the morning – the simplest version of the Tamra Jal ritual.
Copper jugs – they stand in the kitchen and prepare water for the whole household at once, in 1250 ml or 1950 ml versions. For even larger amounts – the 5 l copper water container.
Who it’s for
For people who drink tap or filtered water and want a simple, maintenance-free way to purify it naturally – without adding yet another plastic filter to the kitchen. For those who start the day with a ritual, and for those looking for a copper vessel as a meaningful gift rather than just a decoration.
Craftsmanship, not mass production
Every Sattva Ayurveda copper vessel is hammered or polished by hand, so small differences between pieces are not a flaw but proof that no machine stamped it out. You can combine the patterns – smooth, hammered, striped, diamond-pattern – into a set: a jug with mugs in the same finish.

Copper, not marketing
We don’t promise a miracle in a glass. We promise a vessel that does what it was made for – and will keep doing it for years.
