Adaptogens and Immunity
×
Stress is not a one-day problem
It builds up over weeks. It raises cortisol, weakens immunity, fuels inflammation and disrupts sleep. Ordinary “immunity” supplements don't see this — they act on the symptom, not the cause. Ayurvedic adaptogens work differently: they regulate the stress–immune response axis before you even notice that something is wrong.
What an adaptogen is — no beating around the bush
The term comes from 1950s pharmacology, but the plants it describes were part of Ayurveda thousands of years earlier. For an herb to earn the name, it has to meet three conditions: act non-specifically (on the whole body, not a single organ), normalize functions regardless of the direction of the imbalance, and be safe for long-term use. This isn't marketing — it's a pharmacological criterion. Every product in this collection meets it.
Products in the collection
Ashwagandha extract (capsules) — a standardized root extract with a defined withanolide content. It reduces cortisol levels, improves sleep quality and strengthens immunity. The best-researched Ayurvedic adaptogen — and one of the best-researched adaptogens overall.
Ashwagandha powder — the traditional, unstandardized form to add to milk, smoothies or golden milk. A gentler starting point with a flexible dose.
Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) — an adaptogen for the nervous system. It normalizes the stress–cognitive function axis: it improves memory and concentration and reduces mental tension. Recommended especially for intellectual overload and mental exhaustion.
Tulsi extract (Ocimum sanctum) — the holy basil of Ayurveda. It modulates the immune response, has anti-inflammatory properties and lowers cortisol. For recurring infections, chronic stress and weakness after illness.
Shatavari extract — a toning adaptogen, especially important for women. It balances hormones, supports immunity weakened by fluctuating estrogen levels, and eases PMS and menopause symptoms.
Who it's for
For people with chronic stress, recurring infections, sleep problems and exhaustion that no specific cause explains. Adaptogens work cumulatively — the minimum supplementation period is 6–8 weeks of regular use. If you take medication (especially thyroid, blood pressure or psychiatric medication), discuss your choice with your doctor — ashwagandha and tulsi have documented interactions with certain groups of drugs.
Ayurveda knew it first
Western science has confirmed how these plants work over the last few decades. Ayurveda has used them for thousands of years. It called them something else — rasayana, herbs that renew vitality. The effect is the same.
