A scent that doesn't dry out your skin
Conventional perfumes are mostly alcohol — the scent fades after two hours, leaving the skin tight and irritated. People with sensitive or atopic skin often give up perfume altogether because ethanol doesn't agree with them. Indian perfume oils work differently — the fragrance is dissolved in plant oil, not alcohol, and instead of drying out the skin, it cares for it.
Oil, not alcohol — with the attar tradition behind it
Our perfume oils are based on jojoba oil and olive oil — they carry the scent, not ethanol. The composition contains natural essential oils and tocopherol (vitamin E), which protects the formula from oxidation. A roll-on instead of an atomizer means zero waste and full control over how much you apply. It's not a new idea — it's the Indian tradition of attars: the artisanal process of blending essential oils with a carrier oil, known in India for generations. The scent develops gradually on the skin instead of evaporating within an hour.
Six scents, six characters
Sandalwood — woody, resinous, calm. For those who don't like sweetness in perfume.
Oudh — heavy, oriental, woody-resinous. A bold choice for the evening.
Patchouli — earthy, deep, with a hint of spice. A classic for lovers of warm, spicy scents.
Rose — floral and warm, without candy-like sweetness. A versatile everyday choice.
Night Queen — an intense night-blooming flower that only unfolds once applied. For those who like stronger compositions.
Opium — oriental, spicy-sweet, with depth. For the more daring.
How to match a scent to your dosha
In Ayurveda, scent is not random — it is chosen according to what needs calming or stimulating. Vata dosha (dry, changeable, cool) likes woody and earthy scents that give a sense of grounding — reach for Sandalwood, Oudh or Patchouli. Pitta dosha (hot, intense) needs a cooling floral note — Rose and Night Queen work best here. Kapha dosha (heavy, slow) needs stimulation — the spicy-sweet Opium awakens rather than lulls. Don't know your dosha? Start with the scent that draws you in the most — your body usually knows what it needs.
Perfume oils — questions and answers
How are they different from regular perfumes? Regular perfumes are built on alcohol, which evaporates quickly and can dry out the skin. Perfume oils have a plant-oil base — they last longer and care for your skin as well.
How long does the scent last? Oil evaporates more slowly than alcohol, so the scent stays on the skin longer — although it doesn't project as far as alcohol-based perfumes.
How do I apply perfume oils? On your pulse points — wrists, inner elbows, behind the ears. The warmth of your skin releases the scent gradually throughout the day.
Scent, not chemicals
Choose a scent, not a bottle full of alcohol. Your skin already knows which one serves it better.
