Face Wash Gels – Natural Ayurvedic Cleansing Gels
×
A face wash gel is the first step in your care routine: it removes makeup, sebum and impurities, and the right one won't dry out your skin. This collection includes four Sattva gels: Indian rose, sandalwood with turmeric, tea tree, and an activated charcoal gel from the men's line. Below we explain which one suits which skin and how to use it.
How to choose a face wash gel
- Indian rose – a gentle gel free from SLES, parabens and paraffin. With rose water, aloe vera and olive oil. It leaves skin clean and fresh, without a tight feeling. For skin that needs gentle cleansing.
- Sandalwood and turmeric – a herbal blend formulated according to Ayurvedic recommendations. It cleanses and smooths the skin, leaving behind the warm, Indian scent of sandalwood.
- Tea tree – a cleansing and balancing gel for skin with blemishes.
- Activated charcoal (men's line) – a sebum-regulating formula for skin prone to oiliness.
Which gel for which skin
- Sensitive or dry skin: Indian rose.
- Normal skin, if you want an Ayurvedic ritual: sandalwood and turmeric.
- Oily skin with blemishes: tea tree or the charcoal gel.
- Men's skin prone to oiliness: the activated charcoal gel.
How to use a face wash gel
- Wet your face with lukewarm water.
- Apply a small amount of gel and gently massage it in with circular motions, avoiding the eyes.
- Rinse with water and dry your skin by gently pressing a towel against it.
- Apply toner, serum and cream.
Frequently asked questions
How often should you wash your face?
Usually twice a day: morning and evening. In the evening, use a gel to remove makeup, sunscreen and impurities. In the morning, if your skin is dry or sensitive, water or a rose water toner is enough.
How do you wash your face step by step?
Wet your face, massage in a small amount of gel with circular motions for about half a minute, rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel. Hot water dries out the skin, so avoid it.
Does a face wash gel dry out the skin?
The right one shouldn't. Your skin shouldn't feel tight after washing. If it does, choose a gentler gel, e.g. Indian rose, and apply toner and cream after washing.
What is a gentle face wash gel?
One that is free from SLES and doesn't leave your skin feeling tight after use. The Indian rose gel is free from SLES, parabens and paraffin and contains rose water and aloe vera.
Which face wash gel is good for men?
If your skin tends to get oily, the activated charcoal gel from our men's line works well. The other gels are universal, and you can use them regardless of gender.
Face wash gel or foam?
Both remove impurities. What matters more than the format is how your skin reacts after washing: it shouldn't feel tight or sting.
