Hair oiling isn't a trend. It's Ayurveda, practiced for thousands of years.
Before silicones and keratin became synonymous with “healthy hair,” women in India massaged warm herbal oils into their scalps. Regularly. With patience. And with results that were visible for generations. Sattva Ayurveda's natural hair oils return to this philosophy — without embellishment, but with specific active ingredients and a clear goal: a stronger scalp, healthier strands, less hair loss.
Four oils. Four different needs.
Onion Hair Oil — onion extract is rich in sulfur compounds that nourish the hair root and support keratin synthesis. It reduces hair loss and stimulates the growth of new hair. The formula is enriched with hibiscus, which adds shine and moisturizes the lengths. For people with visible hair loss and thinning — the manufacturer states greater density after just 4 weeks.
Rice Bran Hair Oil — rich in inositol, which penetrates the hair structure, smooths the cuticle and protects against heat and mechanical damage. It adds shine without weighing hair down. A good choice for medium- and high-porosity hair that is dull and prone to static.
Maha Bringraj Oil — a classic Ayurvedic formula based on bhringraj (Eclipta alba), used for centuries for hair loss, premature graying and weakened hair roots. Bhringraj supports scalp microcirculation and extends the hair growth phase. One of the best-known oils in traditional Ayurvedic medicine.
Revitalizing Hair Oil — a multi-ingredient blend of plant oils and herbs for tired hair that has lost its elasticity and vitality. It regenerates, nourishes the lengths and restores bounce. A good starting point for very dry hair or hair damaged by coloring and chemical treatments.
Who they're for
For anyone who wants to strengthen their hair roots and reduce hair loss — reach for the onion oil or Maha Bringraj. For dry, dull or chemically treated hair — reach for the rice bran oil or the revitalizing oil. All the oils work well for pre-wash oiling (OCM), overnight and as a weekly treatment. They suit straight, wavy and curly hair.
How to oil your hair so it works
Apply to the scalp and massage in for 2–3 minutes — massage stimulates microcirculation and increases the absorption of active ingredients. Leave on for at least 30 minutes or overnight under a shower cap. Wash out with Sattva shampoo. Consistency is key — the results of oiling build up over weeks, not after a single application. At least twice a week for a month is a fair test.
Your hair remembers every oiling.
Let that be your reason not to skip a single one.
