Natural Henna for Hair | Ayurvedic Plant-Based Coloring
Certified Henna for Hair – Burgundy 150 g
What makes the burgundy shade special?
Burgundy is a shade for people who want red, but in a more mature, cooler version. Unlike red henna, it does not give a bright, fiery copper. It is also not as wine-toned as the red wine shade, nor as warm as the mahogany shade.
It is a color with a distinct maroon character – in the light, a red-plum highlight is visible, while in shadow the shade looks deep and subdued. Thanks to the combination of henna and indigo, the result is more balanced and less vivid than with pure lawsonia.
If you want pure ginger-red tones, choose pure red henna. If you want a more wine-red result, check out the red wine henna shade.
Color results on different base colors
On light blonde hair, you will get a clear, intense maroon shade with a cool highlight.
On dark blonde hair, the color will be deep and balanced, with a distinct plum note.
On light brown hair, the result will be elegant and rich, with red visible in the light.
On gray hair, the color may be lighter and redder after the first application. If you have a lot of gray hair, repeating the coloring is recommended to deepen the result.
How does plant henna work?
The plant pigments in the blend bind to the hair's keratin, forming a protective layer on its surface. Unlike chemical dyes, they:
-
do not lighten the hair,
-
do not damage its structure,
-
strengthen and thicken the hair,
-
improve the condition of the scalp.
The color settles within 24–48 hours after application and deepens over time.
Who is it ideal for?
Burgundy is recommended for people who:
-
want to achieve a cool, maroon shade without chemicals,
-
are looking for an alternative to cherry or plum hair dyes,
-
have naturally brown hair and want to give it a striking character,
-
want to combine intense color with care.
